Car Steering Wheel, Pay Attention to These Abnormalities
The steering wheel is the core for controlling the driving direction of the vehicle. In daily use, if these abnormalities appear, it is necessary to check and maintain in time to avoid affecting driving safety. First of all, abnormal noise when turning the steering wheel, such as “creaking” or “clicking” sounds, may be due to steering gear failure, ball joint wear, or insufficient power steering oil. It is necessary to check the steering system in time.
Secondly, if the steering wheel shakes while driving, especially at high speed, it is likely that the tire dynamic balance is out of adjustment or the wheel hub is deformed. It is necessary to do tire dynamic balance in time and check whether the wheel hub is damaged; if the steering wheel deviates, it may be due to uneven tire pressure, uneven brake pad wear, or inaccurate four-wheel alignment. It is necessary to adjust the tire pressure, check the brake pads, and do four-wheel alignment if necessary.
In addition, check the power steering oil regularly. If the liquid level is too low, supplement it in time. The replacement cycle of power steering oil is about 2 years. If the oil color becomes dark and turbid, replace it in time to avoid affecting the power steering effect. Do not turn the steering wheel in place for a long time, which will increase the burden on the steering system and accelerate the aging of parts.
