Engine Oil Maintenance, the “Blood” Protection for the Engine

Engine oil is the “blood” of a car’s engine, responsible for lubricating, cooling, and cleaning internal parts. Its condition directly determines the engine’s service life. Many car owners mistakenly believe that engine oil only needs to be changed according to mileage, but in fact, it also needs to be adjusted based on usage conditions.
It is recommended to change ordinary mineral oil every 5,000 kilometers or 6 months, semi-synthetic oil can be extended to 7,500 kilometers or 9 months, and fully synthetic oil can be used up to 10,000 kilometers or 12 months. Long-term urban congestion driving and frequent short-distance trips will accelerate the deterioration of engine oil, so it is recommended to replace it 10%-20% in advance.
When changing the engine oil, be sure to replace the oil filter at the same time to avoid impurities in the old filter contaminating the new engine oil. In addition, choose the oil with the grade required by the vehicle manual, and do not arbitrarily increase or decrease the grade, otherwise it will affect the engine performance and even cause wear. You can regularly check the engine oil level daily to ensure it is between the upper and lower scales of the oil dipstick.
